Title
Thursday 03/08/12
Brief
Blowing dust from strong northerly winds behind a cold is affecting parts of the Panhandle this morning and should continue through this afternoon. Thus dust will likely be transported south and southwest into much of far West Texas this evening and overnight. The dust will likely raise the daily PM10 AQI to "Moderate" or possibly higher levels in affected areas, including the Lubbock and Midland-Odessa areas. Elsewhere in the state, moderate to strong winds and low incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
