Smoke from agricultural burning in Mexico and Central America is covering much of South and Central Texas this morning with early African dust in Southeast Texas. A weak cold front should push the smoke out of Central Texas this afternoon and evening. The daily PM2.5 AQI should be in the "Moderate" range along the coast in South Texas and in Southeast Texas today. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
