Title
Sunday 04/01/12 Outlook
Brief
Winds should be strong enough to generate blowing dust in parts of far West Texas, including the El Paso area, and dust could raise the daily PM10 AQI to "Moderate" or possibly higher levels with highest concentrations in the late afternoon and evening. Winds may also be strong enough to generate blowing dust in parts of the Panhandle, but the amounts and duration are not likely to be enough to raise the daily PM10 AQI beyond the "Good" range. Winds will be favorable to bring any smoke from agricultural burning in Mexico and Central America into South Texas, but recent smoke production does not appear to be enough to raise fine particulate beyond the "Good" range by the time the air reaches Texas. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and low incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
