Title
Saturday 04/14/12 Outlook
Brief
Winds should be strong enough to generate blowing dust in parts of far West Texas and the Panhandle, and the dust could raise the daily PM10 AQI to "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" or possibly higher levels in the El Paso area, with "Moderate" levels in the southern Panhandle, including the Lubbock area. Smoke from agricultural burning in Mexico and Central America with "Moderate" fine particulate levels should cover most of the center of the state, mainly along and east of a line from Sanderson to Childress and along and west of a line from Palacios to Sherman. Elsewhere in the state, moderate to strong winds, low incoming background levels, and/or heavy cloud cover should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
