Brief
Incoming background levels may be high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels on the northeast and north side of the Houston area and in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Northerly winds behind a cold front may be strong enough to cause light amounts of blowing dust in the Panhandle and downwind to the south and southwest, but the intensity and duration will not likely be enough to raise the daily PM10 AQI beyond the "Good" range. Elsewhere in the state, moderate to strong winds and decreasing background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
