Title

Saturday 3/9/13 Forecast

Brief

Winds may be strong enough to cause blowing dust that could raise the daily PM10 AQI to "Moderate" or possibly higher levels in parts of West Texas and the southern Panhandle, including the El Paso and Lubbock areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Smoke from agricultural burning in Mexico and Central America may raise fine particulate levels in parts of South Texas with the daily PM2.5 AQI possibly reaching the "Moderate" range in the Brownsville-McAllen area. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and low incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
